Well hello there, Girl Number Two…

So here she is, Girl Number Two in the making. The former illustration titled, Girl Number One was aesthetically, highly geometric and heavily influenced by the Op Art genius Bridget Riley fused with fashion guru, Louis Vuitton. Girl Number Two, is much more organic. I have primarily used block colour in this image, by saturating the paper with coloured indian inks. The inks create a very decadent texture, but allow the blacks to remain dense and show through. As opposed to the acrylics, which tend to sit on the surface of the paper, and act as a physical barrier between the material and the paper. And yes I have used pink, yellow and orange together. I throw caution to the wind, and its my picture! I love a good colour blocking clash. Girl Number Two is on the way, stay tuned… Three’s not always a crowd… X
