It has all gone very Barbarella!

Crying Girl Betty 1                        Friday night introduces a current work in progress, with this Barbarella inspired; Crying Girl Betty. Just incase it passed you by, I am absolutely in love with the aesthetic of the 1960’s. Hence my girls tend to sport, pastel lips, heavy black kohl lined eyes with lashings of mascara (or black acrylic paint to be precise) and big, backcombed hair. This illustration not only has Crying Betty, but several bouffant babes in the repeated pattern surround. She is the first Crying Girl, not to be inspired directly from the catwalk. She is very 1968, French film vixen; Barbarella, with alot less silver but still incredibly trippy. She is a beast in size, my biggest Crying girl yet. She stands at 35 X 40inches, just like her intergalactic ratted hair! Enjoy XX
